FireEye is Honored with 2016 SC Magazine Award and SANS Best of 2015 Awards
Industry Awards Recognize FireEye for Top Offerings in Threat Intelligence, Advanced Threat Detection Categories; Finalist for Email Security, Endpoint and Forensics
Milpitas, Calif. – April 7, 2016 – FireEye, Inc., the leader in stopping today’s advanced cyber attacks, has been recognized by SC Magazine with its 2016 Trust Award for Best Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) Protection. Additionally, the company received the SANS Best of 2015 Award for Threat Intelligence and for Advanced Threat Detection for its Intrusion NX series.
Winners in the SC Magazine Trust Award category were hand-selected by a panel of IT security experts primarily from user-end organizations. These judges typically lead information security divisions, play roles in implementing information security policies and plans for their organizations, and have in-depth knowledge or expertise with testing, deploying or managing IT security products and services. In addition to winning the Best Advanced Persistent Threat Protection category, FireEye was also named a finalist in the categories of Best Security Company, Best Computer Forensic Solution for its Network Forensics Platform and Investigation Analysis Platform, and the Best Email Security Solution for FireEye EX series.
“Winning the 2016 SC Magazine Award for Best APT Protection continues to demonstrate FireEye’s commitment to leadership and innovation in the realm of cyber security,” said Jason Martin, FireEye senior vice president of engineering and security products. “As advanced cyber security attacks grow in scale and severity worldwide, superior technology is our best shot at stopping this type of attack. We are honored that others also recognize what the FireEye global threat management platform brings to the table, from services delivered in the cloud to hardware and software that protects networks and endpoints, all powered by world-class threat intelligence.”
The SANS Best of Awards program was created to raise awareness of the solutions that organizations are using to successfully fend off attacks. The SANS Institute believes showcasing the solutions that are making a difference by reducing the business impact of cyber attacks in real world applications can help security professionals to reduce the number of successful intrusions.
FireEye won the SANS Best of 2015 Award for Threat Intelligence and for Advanced Threat Detection for its Intrusion NX series.
“These awards are driven by the people using these products; they are the ones who nominated us,” FireEye’s Martin said. “It’s extremely gratifying to be recognized by the people on the front lines helping defend their organizations.”
