Chris Carter from FireEye Honored as Security Channel Chief of the Year
Receives award from Channel Partner Insight for making ‘a significant impact in the security industry’
NEW YORK, Dec. 6, 2019 – FireEye, Inc. (NASDAQ: FEYE), the intelligence-led security company, announced today that Chris Carter from FireEye has won Security Channel Chief of the Year at the Channel Partner Insight Innovation Awards 2019. The Channel Innovation Awards are designed to recognize channel players across North America who are at the forefront of innovation by truly galvanizing the channel to produce new opportunities and growth. The awards evening took place on December 5 in New York City.
The Security Channel Chief of the Year Award was open to security focused channel and partner strategy leaders at security vendors. It was designed to reward a channel chief that has made a significant impact in the security industry. This could involve anything from getting new partners on board to developing a strategy that has paid real dividends for partners and made a difference to their customers. The nominations were voted for by Channel Partner Insight (CPI) readers.
Carter is Vice President of Americas Channels at FireEye. He is responsible for managing and developing the Americas channel strategy and related route to market programs. Under his leadership, Carter’s team executes partnering strategies with leading security Value Added Resellers and Integrators, while working with distribution partners to increase market reach.
Carter won the award for his achievements over the last twelve months. This includes a restructuring of the FireEye channel rebate program which has increased profitability to partners. He also introduced new partner margin incentives through promotional offerings and collaborated with the product team to introduce new mid-market offerings. This collaboration is particularly significant because FireEye has traditionally developed solutions that are targeted toward enterprise customers. This has given the partner community opportunities to serve a wider net of customers and therefore generate increased revenue.
